Jonathan’s 25-year career in advisory and financial services began with a 7-year stint at Sotheby’s in Manhattan, working with art collectors and their advisors within the auction house’s Trusts, Estates & Appraisals department. For the next 18 years, Jonathan continued to be based in New York City and served in a variety of roles at leading, national private banks, investment advisory firms and multi-family offices.

He earned his AB with Honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead Scholar. Jonathan is a Certified Trust & Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) by the American Bankers Association and has been designated an Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®) by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils.

Jonathan is a member of the Charlotte Estate Planning Council and the Estate Planning Council of New York City; he is a Past-President of the Estate Planning Council of Bergen County (NJ). He is a member of the Rotary Club of Charlotte where he serves on the Finance Committee. Jonathan is an Adjunct Instructor at Central Piedmont Community College where he teaches personal financial management and art business for the college’s Financial Services Institute and Continuing Education division.

Jonathan returned to his hometown of Charlotte, NC in 2024 where he lives with his family and enjoys trail running (slowly), skiing (occasionally), golfing (badly), and discovering new restaurants and craft brews (actually pretty good at both of those).
